TITLE: Account Clerk/Typist
WORK LOCATION: High School Guidance Office
WORK HOURS: *37.50 hrs./per week
SALARY RANGE: $33,439 – $34,847 (Per the 2023-24 Salary Schedule – Subject to Contract Negotiations; Salary dependent upon qualifications and experience.)
*Health Insurance (Valued @ up to $31,007 annually) or Health Insurance Buyout (Valued @ up to $12,541 annually) Eligible Position.
PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE:
Working knowledge of modern methods of keeping and maintaining financial accounts and records; working knowledge of office terminology, procedures and equipment; working knowledge of business arithmetic and English; ability to type accurately at an acceptable rate of speed; ability to make arithmetic computations accurately and rapidly; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; ability to write legibly; ability to get along well with others; clerical aptitude; mental alertness; neatness; accuracy; tact and courtesy; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
All candidates must meet Clinton County Civil Service Commission requirements for the position. Minimum requirements include: graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and one year of experience in maintaining financial records which shall include typing. A qualified typing examination will be required at an acceptable rate of 35 words per minute.
