FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Why can’t I drop my child off to school at 8:45 a.m.?
A: Supervision for students is not available until 8:45 a.m., at which time our doors will open. If this conflicts with your work schedule, the YMCA provides daycare options for our families in our school building. Their contact information is: 518-561-4290.

Q: What if my child is sick?
A: Please submit the Elementary Absence Reporting Form This link will open in a new tab. by 9:00 A.M. When the child returns to school, a written note must be sent with them explaining their absence and signed by parent/guardian.

Q: What if I want to pick up my child from school or they need to take a different bus?
A: Either a note from you needs to be sent in with your child or an email needs to be sent to the students respective office explaining when and why your child is being picked up or the name and address of the drop off location. If you pick up your child earlier than the 3:05 release, you must sign them out in the office. If you pick your child up at dismissal, you need to sign them out in the Primary Cafeteria for PreK-2 or at the Intermediate Cafeteria for 3-5.

Q: How can I get involved with the PTO?
A: Please contact them directly at, [email protected], or join us at our monthly meetings.

Q: What about breakfast and lunch?
A: Breakfast and lunch are available. Breakfast and lunch are free for all students. The breakfast/lunch menu is sent home monthly.

Q: My child is constantly losing things. Is there a lost and found?
A: There is a lost and found in the cafeteria and students are encouraged to look for their belongings while at lunch.
